Location and Area:
In the village there are two local inns, a restaurant, PO/stores/butchers and a local Nature Reserve.

Under a 5-minute drive to the popular small seaside town of Seaton with spectacular mile long beach, shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.

The picturesque fishing village of Beer is under a 10-minutes drive, with sheltered beach with fishing trips, sailing, rock pooling, small family run beach cafes, deckchairs and local fish for sale. All to hand are the local shops, art galleries, inns and selection of cafes, a wide variety of good restaurants, the historic Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway.

Stunning coastal walks along the Jurassic Coast to Beer, Branscombe and to the regency town of Sidmouth. The coastal town of Lyme Regis, with its famous harbour, known as the Cobb, of the French Lieutenant fame, interesting individual specialist shops and cinema is under a 15 minute drive. A little further onto Charmouth with the Heritage coast Centre offering fossil hunting walks, rock pool rambles and special marine events.

The market town of Axminster with interesting shops and TV chef Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen and indoor swimming pool is also only a 15-minute drive.
