Delightful detached 1930s house, in a truly lovely peaceful setting surrounded by the stunning Devon countryside and valley in the picturesque seaside village of Branscombe on the Jurassic Coast.

Homely and full of nostalgia, retaining many original features including parquet floors and fire places with 1930s motif tiling. Charmingly furnished to a comfortable standard.

Entrance into Hall. Sitting room with stunning countryside views, open fire, window seat, table and chairs. Dining room. Both rooms with double aspect and French doors, leading to the gardens overlooking the Devon countryside. Excellent Kitchen with Shaker style units. Pantry. Small Utility room with washing machine.

Outdoor Facilities:
Private pretty enclosed large gardens, varying levels, take care with children. 6 steps from garden leads up to wild orchard, not cut to grass, with washing line. Garden table and chairs. Two wooden benches.

Parking: in nearby lanes and a slip road, above and behind the road. There is also some parking in The Square at the bottom of the hill.

Additional information:
One well-behaved small pet welcome, a fixed charge of £30 pw or part week per pet.

N.B. Branscombe is a hilly village and Maycoes sits on one of these hills into the village. Access information available on request.

Location and Area:
Maycoes is positioned in a truly lovely peaceful setting surrounded by the stunning Devon countryside and valley in the picturesque seaside village of Branscombe on the Jurassic Coast.

The spectacular beach is less than a 10-minute walk, or a 2-minute drive. In the village there is the famous 700-year-old award winning Mason’s Arms Inn, a minute walk down a small hill. Further on are the National Trust Old Bakery Tea Rooms, Mill, museum, working forge and second traditional inn ‘The Fountain Head’ serving good food and local brews.

An ideal location for walkers with stunning coastal footpaths over the cliff tops to the popular Regency coastal town of Sidmouth with Esplanade, splendid variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, theatre and indoor swimming pool a 10-minute drive. The famous Donkey Sanctuary at Weston is close by. In the other direction Lyme Regis, known as ‘The Pearl of Dorset’ famous for fossil hunting a 20 minute drive.

The picturesque fishing village of Beer a 10-minute drive with the Quarry Caves, Pecorama model railway/play station/pleasure gardens. A beautiful tranquil seaside house with spectacular views to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
