As you wind your way down the track to River Cottage HQ, you are presented with the most stunning view of this beautiful organic farm. Sat on the Dorset/Devon border near the town of Axminster, the farm is home to a cookery school, evening dinners, weddings and visitor days. The Cookery School has reawakened many artisan skills and is taught by absolute experts, passionate about their subjects. You can learn everything from bread making, fish preparation and curing & smoking meats, to foraging for wild food, butchering a pig and preserving a glut of garden fruit and veg.

Our evening dinners are hosted in the converted threshing barn, as guests sit convivially around large oak tables. Based around a set menu of the best local and seasonal produce, the evenings begin with canapés and a welcome glass of local sparkling around a roaring fire in our Mongolian yurt. The beauty of River Cottage HQ is the perfect setting to celebrate a marriage, tailor made to the bride and groom’s wants and wishes. Our Visitor Days, which run throughout the summer are a great way to visit, as friends and family explore the trade stands, cookery demonstrations and wide range of west country food on offer, having seen it all played out on the TV many times…
