The Ship Inn
The Ship Inn, a creeper clad village inn, was built in 1880 after a fire on Christmas day destroyed the original that dated back to the tenth Century. Family run since 1966, The Ship offers quality home-cooked food, making as much use as possible of local fish & game, home grown fruit, salads & particularly herbs served in either of the two bars or the restaurant.
One of only twenty-five pubs in the country to have featured in every edition of The Good Beer Guide, we are currently offering three real ales. Relax in the garden, where convalescing owls make unusual drinking companions and with spectacular views over the River Axe and surrounding countryside.
